FAQ’s

What can I expect on a guided hunt?

We really hunt!  Expect a lot of hiking, along with cold early mornings! You will be traveling  to various hunt destinations from our main camp. Our accommodations are pleasant, clean and warm!   Our trailers and/or toy haulers have comfortable beds, bathrooms with hot showers and a place to eat.

We camp in the wilderness, so there is typically no cell phone coverage or internet.
If your hunt is during the rut, sometimes the rut is hot and sometimes it’s not. Be patient, our guides will find the bulls and will most likely get you a shot opportunity.

What if I don’t get a bull?

That’s hunting.  Your guides will make every effort to help you get your bull. Your success is very important to them.

What does my guide expect of me?

HAVE FUN!  Bring a good attitude. No matter how the hunt is going, stay positive and our expert guides will figure something out.

This is hunting!  Even though it can be hard work, let’s have fun!

We will hunt to your level of physical conditioning.

Make sure you bring clothes suited for all types of weather.  I have seen snow, rain and mild conditions all in the same hunt.!

Can I bring my family?

Absolutely, it’s encouraged! Families are a great addition to our hunt camps.

Besides elk, what other types of wildlife will I see?

You might see a lot of different wildlife. Sit a waterhole and not only could you see many birds, but maybe a bear, coyote, deer, fox, elk, etc.. You never know what will come in.

Types of wildlife that you might see during a hunt are…elk, deer, coyote, bear, antelope, jackrabbit, cottontail, turkey, squirrels, chipmunks, bobcat, Javelina, foxes, badger, skunk, porcupine and snakes.  (We do not guarantee the sighting of these animals)

What do I need to know before I book my Guided Hunt?

First, you must contact us if you are interested and we will tell you all you need to know.  Secondly, you must put in for Bull Elk hunt draw with New Mexico Game and Fish by March 18th or Arizona Game and Fish by February 10th.  If you get drawn, this “tag” will cost you an additional $550.00- $750.00.  If you want a guided hunt, you are encouraged to put in for the draw with the outfitter of your choice. That’s why it is important to contact us first.  An outfitter provides everything you might need besides, clothes, weapon and toiletries.  You may also want just a guide without the food and lodging.  That can be done! Call for details.
